Address

The identifier used as sender or recipient in transactions. Its construction depends on the network: legacy and SegWit Bitcoin addresses encode a hash of the public key or of a script; Bitcoin Taproot addresses encode a tweaked public key; Ethereum addresses are the last 20 bytes of the Keccak-256 hash of the public key; Solana addresses encode a 32-byte value that may represent a public key or a program-derived address (PDA). Smart contract addresses and Solana PDAs are not necessarily derived from public keys. Addresses are pseudonymous: they reveal no identity by themselves but can be linked to a person or entity through analysis or off-chain data.
